HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!!!!!

It's my Anniversary, my FIRST Blog Anniversary wow can you believe it's been a year, which means it must be nearly a year since Sam had his tumour removed, I can tell you this, I am a much happier blogger this year than I was last year worrying about him.  He is as fit as a fiddle and (touch wood) no sign of the cancer returning.  He says Hi to all of his fans.

And I never thought The Lady of the House would still be with us but she is, 18 years, 6 months and 16 days old!!  Still as stubborn as ever. As I am writing this she is snoring her head off!!!!

So what has happened in this year, well, I have learned lots of things, started doing stitchery, finished some quilts, did a QAL and I won LOTS of giveaways!....I even made a bird cage cover without a pattern for my BFF in the UK, (if you are reading this....still waiting for those photos Pam!) but the biggest and best thing for me has been making new friends, yes that means YOU.  When I started quilting and blogging I could never have imagined how much help, kindness and friendship I was going to receive,  I am really happy to be part of this quilting community.  So I am going to take this opportunity of saying a big THANK YOU to you all.

Now what happens on an Anniversary, oh yes we go out for a meal..no no that's not it....oh I know we go out for a drink....nope that's not right either.....wait! I do a GIVEAWAY don't I!!.....Oh Yes.

Strawberry Fields Forever........

We had some friends round for a meal last night so I needed to pretty my table.



The topper I had made a few months ago but didn't have any placemats so I quickly made these.....

The flowers were from my friend, don't the colours match well!!!!

Wave....

Hello, I'm still here, I just don't seem to have anything interesting to say so decided not to say anything.   I just looked back and couldn't believe how long it was since I did a post.  I have been sewing but can't show you because everything is for presents.   Wait though, I have been making some hexies so I can show you them...

and I have finally got the border on my Bronwyn Hayes stitchery.  I changed the border as I just didn't like it scrappy, much happier with this one, it now needs quilting, I seem to have fell out with quilting, I now have 3 finished tops that need quilting...oh dear.

I can't believe I am coming up to my 1st Blog Anniversary, who would have thought so much could happen in a year, all the friends I have made, and all the giveaways I have won!  Which reminds me,  keep checking ...... I can feel a giveaway coming on.....
