Hope everyone had a happy Christmas and Santa was good to you all.  He was sure good to me!  In the last three months I have been extremely lucky with giveaways.  I was going to put them in two posts so it didn't look as bad but then I decided what the heck, I enter to win and win I did!!!!

JOYEUX NOEL!!!

Only 4 more sleeps then it will be the BIG day!    I finally quilted my Wonky Star Quilt which was my first ever QAL it's the biggest quilt I have quilted and I did find it hard to do, I am not saying I won't do one as big again.....but I certainly won't be doing one as big for a while!!

I decided it looked quite nice on my table so, for now, it's a table cloth.

Sorry the pictures are not very good, it's a miserable day today.

I quilted some holly leaves on the border to make it more festive.

Okay that's enough pictures of a table cloth.  

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has stuck with me this year, for the wonderful friends I have made and for all of you who have taken the time to leave comments.  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us all.

"The First Noel"......

So, what have I been doing?   Well,  every year I look for  "N O E L" to put on my mantle, and every year I can't find one I like, they're either too bright, too tacky or too expensive!  So this year I decided to make my own.   First of all I looked on the internet to find a font I liked, printed the letters, then enlarged them by 150%.  Then appliqued the letters onto the back ground and Voila!!

I now have my own N O E L !!

GO Baby Go!!!!!

Just a few pictures to show I have been playing with my baby.

I cut this pile of HST in less that 15 minutes!!

Some cards I made using the leaf from the Rose of Sharon die.

Lovely little pile of hexies.  After cutting these it did cross my mind that it would be better if we could have the same size dies together, rather than 3 different sizes, I find I am only using the middle one and therefore only cutting 6 at a time, instead of a potential 18 at a time, not sure when I would use all three sizes together.  Please take note Accuquilt

The last picture shows you what Sam was doing while I was cutting the hexies.......

We have a nice big hole under our hedge now. still don't know what he was after!

At last ... something to show...

Earlier this year my BFF in the UK, Pam, asked if I could make a bird cage cover for her... yes of course I can says I, without a single thought about how I was going to do it.  Pam sent me the measurements and ... it was quite big.   I then sat down and thought "how on earth am I going to do this"  I was really working blind, I wasn't going to be able to keep checking to see if it fit right.  Then there was the design, what was I going to do!

I eventually decided to use my Grace charm pack with some cream, and, even though Pam hadn't asked for it, I embroidered a design on the front.

Here is the finished product and boy am I pleased with it!  I still can't believe how well it fits...... phew... be warned there are a few pictures LOL.

So there you have it, one posh bird cage cover, probably the best dressed birds in England!!!

I have to say Pam, it certainly looks better than the sheet they had over them!!!!!

Today is also a special day, my Dad was born on 3rd December 1910 wow thats 101 years ago, he died in 1996 and I still miss him everyday, but even more so today......
