I have decided this year I am going to try and be more frugal, so to start I have made something new out of something old.
The Front......
The back.....
Peach fabric for the lining......
REALLY posh label.....
Hand applique and tiny seed beads on the tree branches.......
In a previous life this was two jackets! They have been sat in my wardrobe since I finished work, so not only have I got a new bag, but I am also clearing out my wardrobe.... result.

Oh my word, Linda, your bag is such a beauty!!! I really like your color choices and the embellishments!!!
Absolutely gorgeous bag, Linda. The applique is so cute. Great frugal project.
I love it! What a great way to use the resources you already have. Reminds me of a project I was planning several months ago. Now where are those shirts??
It's marvellous! I love all the little appliqués and the fact that it's made frugally really appeals to my Yorkshire pockets ;o)
Beautiful bag Linda - a good start to the New Year. I was told by a bona fide French person that it is OK to wish people Happy New Year until the end of January! So you are not late, in fact you are in good time. Happy New Year to you too and good luck with the recycling proces.
Love Lin
Win- win! Sweet little bag!
How clever are you? It's great and I love your posh labels! Looks like it is cold where you are - keep warm!
That's sensational.... what a great bag and you know I love it when old is reused... perfect.... that's a very upmarket brand name....

Love your new labels. They look wonderful!!! And very professional!
Great idea to cut down the jackets and the fabrics have worked so well in the bag. Love all the embellishing you have done. Your bag is great.
Watch out - that empty space in the wardrobe may need to be filled.
So sweet and I love that it is an upcycled treasure. Well done.
That is so clever. I love the colours.
These are adorable LInda, no one would ever know that they were upcycled from clothing. Kudos to you and keep up the great work!
Wow, Wow, Wow! Love your bag!
You will use this much more than a couple of old jackets - such a great idea!!!!
I love your beaded tree branches :)
Wow! Love it - and the cool label. You really did a great job on this.
Oh wow. How pretty!
Such beautiful work! Wow!! Someday when I get some time I want to quilt a family quilt with photos of family on the quilted blocks. Yes... someday!! Your blog inspires me. :)
